I took these pictures (and quite a lot more!) while I was a student of Photography at Syracuse University back in the late 80s.  I apologize for some of the quality of some of them, but they are literally a scan from a print made from a slide (we shot in transparencies back then).  Still, some of they are still so powerful, that to me, they still look good.  I guess some of them have stood the test of time.  In this one, María María models a design by a young David Antonio back in 1988. This is a special photograph for me because this was my first published work.

Peace and love was all the rage back in 1989 and we captured it in this pic with a bit of humor and a bit of sexiness.

Frances was taking a break from a shoot we were doing in an abandoned house when she sat near an open window.  The light was perfect.  Still, it is one of my favorite photos after all these years.

Jacqueline had bought a new bathing suit, so we decided to shoot her in it.  That afternoon, we gathered a few props and went to the beach and got this shot.  Oh, how I miss those lazy summer days!

This was my first shooting with a couple and I wanted to do something that represented the opposite of being together.  I wanted them far away and indifferent to each other.  I still love the aloof expressions on their faces and it's monoc…

A very romantic look by designer David Antonio.  Models Frances Torres and Jacqueline Franceschi were playing with old porcelain dolls in an abandoned shack.  This pic is another one of my favorites.  I love it's mood.

Charleen Mendoza was Puerto Rico's "It" girl in the late 80s.  Her look was totally different at the time.  I shot this portrait of her (using her own clothes) in front of her apartment in Old San Juan.
